This article looks at the issue of recognition and enforcement of foreign bankruptcy judgments in Russia. Russia has not implemented the UNCITRAL Model Code on cross-border insolvency 1997 and does not provide for specific legislation on cross-border bankruptcy. This article comments on the lack of certainty in this area and the negative impact on Russian judicial practice.
